Pangong Lake

Reflecting the mighty mountains of Himalayas, it is perched at the height of 4,250m. One of the popular brackish lakes of Asia, it falls in the eastern Ladakh region.
Locally it is also called as ‘Hollow Lake.’ It is situated approximately 5 hours drive away from Leh. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots in India, it is also a birdwatcher’s paradise. It has less aquatic life due to the saline water of the lake.

Tso Moriri Lake
One of the high altitude lakes in India
, it is fed by snow melting from the neighbouring mountains. It is also considered sacred by the locals. Currently it is also under the wetland reserve system under Ramsar site.
Nature lovers and photography enthusiasts can spot countless diversity of flora and fauna near Tso Moriri Lake. It is perched at 4595m and remains mostly frozen throughout the year.

Leh Palace
Constructed in 17th century by King Sengge Namgyal, its architectural design emulates the construction of Potala Palace in Lhasa, located in Tibet. After the Dogra forces took over Ladakh, the majestic palace was abandoned by the royal family.
It is a nine-storey palace bestowing a beautiful bird’s eye view of Leh. One can spot the Zangskar mountain range along with the Stok Kangri Mountain from the top. The Palace Museum is known for preserving crowns, ceremonial dresses, ornaments and jewellery items.

Stok Palace
Constructed in 1825 by King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal, it current serves as the residence of the lineage of King Sengge Namgyal. The architectural style flaunts a rich blend of traditional and modern elements of design. 108 volumes of books related to the teachings of Lord Buddha are preserved here.
It is a historical tourist destination in Leh. The other tourist attraction of Stok Palace in Ladakh includes well manicured gardens and the library. Tourists from all over the world come to witness the annual dance-mask festival.

Trekking in Ladakh
Known as a ‘paradise for trekkers’, the trip to Ladakh is incomplete without a trekking expedition. It is one of the best destinations for trekking and mountaineering in India.
